Learn to create at least five different patterns using the Half Hexagon Charm template from M&L Designs. Cutting and piecing methods will be demonstrated. Tips for easy Y seams will be given. Quilts and/or quilt tops will be shown. Students will make good progress on a quilt.

TOOLS NEEDED
Half Hexagon Charm Template from M&L Designs
Rotary cutter and mat (a revolving mat is helpful)
Ruler at least 4 inches wide (like Omnigrid)
Colored Pencils
Fabric (see requirements below)
Thread
Sewing machine
Basic sewing supplies
Small travel iron (optional but helpful)

PROVIDED IN CLASS
Iron and ironing board.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
Several scraps (at least 3-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches in size) and/or fat quarters of fabric in medium and dark colors.
Several scraps (at least 3-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches in size) and/or fat quarters of white-on-white or white-on-natural print.
